Whumpee thrashed in the bed; well, they tried to, but between being tied up and still having a drug coursing through their system, they didn’t make much progress.
“Why are you doing this?” Whumpee sobbed.
Whumper looked down at their Whumpee sadly. They hated to see their little Whumpee cry. But they wouldn’t change their mind, not even for them. Whumpee needed them. It was nice to be needed.
“Do you remember last week?” Whumper asked gently.
“What?” Whumpee sniffled.
“Last week, in the library. You were reading a romance novel,” Whumper said, “you said ‘I just want someone to love me’. Those were your exact words, were they not?”
Whumpee didn’t answer, they just stared at Whumper with wide eyes. Whumpee wasn’t very good at putting two and two together, but that was alright. Whumper would help them.
“I know you want someone to love you,” Whumper continued, “I’ve known that for a long time, almost as long as I’ve watched over you. Seeing you break down several times out of loneliness in your room, watching you turn on romance movies just to feel something, yearning for something you think you can’t have. It hurts, I know it hurts. I don’t want to ever see you hurt, Whumpee, so I’ve taken you away from that world of hurt. I’m going to love you from now on, and you can fight me on this, but I think with time you’ll learn to stop fighting and accept it.”
Whumpee had frozen as Whumper’s words sank in, then they shortly began thrashing again.
“N-no,” Whumpee said, “let me go. You have to let me go! This isn’t right!”
Tears continued to stream down Whumpee’s face. Whumper leaned down and wiped them away with their thumb.
“Shhh,” Whumper said, “it’s alright. You need time to let it sink in, I understand.”
Whumper sat Whumpee up against the pillows and brought a bottle of water to their lips.
“Here,” they said, “you must be thirsty, I don’t want you to get dehydrated.”
Whumpee just looked at Whumper pitifully.
“Drink, Whumpee,” they said, “I don’t want to force you, but I will.”
At that, Whumpee reluctantly drank the water. Whumper guessed correctly, the poor thing was thirsty. They consumed the entire bottle in seconds.
“Good,” Whumper praised, “very good. If you can continue to be good, Whumpee, I won’t need to keep you tied up.”
“Can you untie me now?” Whumpee asked.
Whumper smiled sympathetically.
“No Whumpee, not now,” they said, “just be patient. You’ll prove yourself soon enough.”
Whumpee opened their mouth to speak, but closed it just as soon as they had opened it. They blinked heavily. Whumper maneuvered them back into a laying position.
“Wha…” they started, “wha’ did you do?”
“You need to sleep now,” Whumper said, “go to sleep, Whumpee.”
“Th-the water, what was in the water?”
“Never mind that, just go to sleep.”
Whumpee’s eyes fluttered shut, and their breathing deepened. They were fast asleep in the bed. Whumper planted a small kiss on their forehead, then left the room to let their Whumpee sleep. Whumpee wanted someone to love them, and Whumper was more than happy to fill that role, even if Whumpee didn’t realize that’s what they needed yet.
what makes this even funnier to me is that it's a Skyline GT-R, a car that was only made for the Japanese market, meaning it's right hand drive. which means that if you wanted to go through a drive thru that's made for left hand drive cars, you would have to go in reverse in order to be on the side with the drive thru window

YEA. i had a relationship with someone and she dropped the “te amo” super quicky and i was like…………”thats ok, thank you, but im gonna be honest w you….i’m not saying te amo until i really feel it” thats how serious it is.
te amo IS very serious, very deep, very intimate. when you want to tell someone that you love them without it being massive, the term you want is te quiero

I tell my close friends “I love you” all the time. I think It’s different if I were to say “I’m in love with you”.
In these non-English languages, do parents not tell their children “I love you?” Or is it only romantic?
Oh, I’m monolingual but I know a bit about this one! :D
So, in a lot of languages, there are multiple verbs that mean, “to love,” which are each situational, while, in English, we derive the meaning through context
Like, “Te quiero,” refers to love for friends and family, aka platonic love, while , “Te amo,” or, “Ai shiteru,” in Japanese, is so achingly tender and romantic that you might as well write the other person a receipt for your heart, because it’s theirs now
At some point, English did have multiple verbs for, “to love,” but eventually English speakers decided, “to hell with it, I only want 1 broad term for these big mushy feelings,” because we hate having multiple words for things almost as much as we hate punctuation
TL;DR: cultures that are non-English speaking do tell their kids they love them, they just have multiple words that mean, “To love,” and English is the odd man out because it got tired of that and went
Edit: covering my ass now bc people seem to be reblogging this a lot, but I 1.) admittedly know only a little bit about a small handful of other languages and 2.) know English also has a ton of highly specific words we’ve made ourselves or stolen from other languages but, on top of being emotionally stunted bastards, we also take a firing squad to quite a few words whenever we get too confused by the perceived “excess,” even if they’re still useful (example: people using, “empathy,” instead of, “compassion,” and how we’re having to push back so that folks don’t kill that very useful word.)

Unlike Astesia, GreyThroat’s outfit I find difficult to get a grasp on. (Her Elite 2 outfit is much easier.)
But… even like this it still doesn’t fully make sense to me. The cloak it so layered, that it’d deserve its own breakdown. Also, why are you just walking around wearing a neon leash? You do you, but I’m still going to question it. Until now I thought it was part of the cloak.
Extremely rare hatless Glaucus. Look at the widdle ears. Also great concepts for the E2 artwork poses.
May is so cute here! She’s always kinda cute, but in an annoying little sibling way. Here she’s just cute. The jacket tied around the waist was always a good look. Again, love the E2 concepts. Even more varied here than with Glaucus, with some very different moods even. The final one is great, but I really love top left with the different hat too.
Orchid looks so… light without the extra skirt. A good look.
